Soldier Hill Golf Course in Emerson offers superior playing conditions with many picturesque holes that demand accurate shot-making from tee to green while others offer ample landing areas and gentle sloping greens.  The back nine winds through open terrain with strategic water hazards while the front nine is characterized by mature tree lined fairways.  The layout of open and wooded holes on this traditional style 18-hole par 71 golf course provides challenges to golfers of all skill levels.

Directions

FROM GARDEN STATE PARKWAY: Exit 165/Oradell-Ridgewood.  Follow signs for Oradell.  Take Oradell Ave East 4 traffic lights to Kinderkamack Road.  Make a left turn at light onto Kinderkamack Rd.  Proceed approx. 4-5 miles and you will enter the town of Emerson.  Cross over railroad tracks and make an immediate right-hand turn (almost a U-turn) onto Emerson Plaza East.  Continue approx. 300 yards to Palisade Ave.  Make a left onto Palisade Ave and the golf course is ¼ mile on your right.

FROM GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE:  Route 4 West approx. 6.5 miles to Kinderkamack Road/River Edge Exit.  Make a right at the stop sign and continue to the traffic light.  Make a left at the light onto Kinderkamack Rd.  Proceed approx. 4-5 miles to enter the town of Emerson.  Cross over railroad tracks and make an immediate right-hand turn (almost like a U-turn) onto Emerson Plaza East.  Continue approx. 300 yards to Palisade Ave.  Make a left onto Palisade Ave and the golf course is ¼ mile on your right.

FROM NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE:  Turnpike North to Route 80 West to Garden State Parkway North.  Follow the rest of the directions under Garden State Parkway.

FROM MARIO CUOMO (TAPPAN ZEE) BRIDGE:  Follow Route 87 to Garden State Parkway South to exit 165.  Follow signs for Oradell.  Continue with directions as stated under Garden State Parkway.
