Jason’s Weekly De-Scramble 1.17.25

Good afternoon,

I hope everyone is having a great week and staying warm. Hope everyone has a chance to get out this weekend as it’s supposed to warm up and have a nice Saturday.

With this cooler weather the golf course is doing great, and the team is getting some work done as we continue to try to make it better each day. This week the team continued to work on fixing the bumps on the golf course as this will be our next big project. The team started on hole #1 and will work around the course in order, they will also be working on cart paths to make sure they are smooth and not as bumpy. This will take some time and we are determined to get this fixed as well…

The greens continue to have a good roll on them, and the speed has been consistently better as well. We are getting ready for our pre-emergent to go down in February as I’m confident we are about to make a positive change in the weather and as most of you have seen we aren’t mowing the golf course as there is no growth at this time. We appreciate all the great comments and all the questions as well as we still have a long way to go to get the levels we are striving for.

We did receive 17 golf cars this week to help us out with the cars that have been down since the lighting strike. This will help us as we won’t be turning business away and we can gain more rounds. The word is getting out about the golf course, and we have had numerous phones calls this week for future rounds on the golf course. Also, as many of you have seen we have numerous new staff members as part of the team, and we will continue to grow our team and make sure everyone is trained. I’ve heard numerous comments this week on nice it was seeing Player Assistance on the course, and we will continue to daily and continue to educate players where to park and drive their carts.

I do appreciate everyone’s patience this week when the website went down, and we couldn’t have any registration for any events. It is back up and running and I appreciate the residents that helped out and spread the word for me to everyone.

Please sign up for the following events:

  • January 25th – Mixed Couples – 8:30 Shotgun – we currently have 10 players signed up and would love to get to 32 players. I will wait until Wednesday to see if we can get more sign ups to decide if we will have this event…  spread the word and sign up.

I also want to thank all the leagues for their patience with scoring for the events and I will be taking a class very soon to learn all the different ways to use golf genius and run things faster and better.

Please stop by the Golf Shop this week as we have new merchandise arriving this week. Stop by and use your credit book!

I hope everyone has had a chance to take a look at the new menu as I’ve heard a lot of wonderful comments this week on the menu and also that everyone is enjoying. If you have a chance, please stop by and try it out. One of the new items is a Steak of the month and this month it is:

  • 12 Oz T-Bone Steak and the market price is $33.95. Served with Baked Potato and Vegetables.

The Friday entertainment is back and running and we continue to have a lot of happy customers signing and dancing and enjoying a nice evening in the restaurant. Except Friday the 24th, the band will be in Fairfax. Call and make a reservation for before and enjoy a fun evening.

Also, please call and make reservations for The Valentines Day Dinner as the team has a wonderful meal planned and we will have a saxophone player playing on this evening. We will be doing two seatings one at 4:30 and second at 6:00.

Jason’s Weekly De-Scramble 1.10.25

Good afternoon,

I hope everyone is having a great week and is doing their best to stay warm with this cold weather we’ve been having.

We had a very successful week working on the Golf Course as we continued to make great strides with the work we’ve been doing. The team worked on numerous cart paths this week and worked on getting the ruts out and make them better for everyone’s carts. This won’t be the final product as Todd and his team are waiting for a product to come in and it will look better. With this cold weather we aren’t getting much growth currently, but the team continues to prepare for the Spring weather as we continue to fertilize and continue to work on the greens.

We have a punch list that we are currently working on for the golf course and we will continue to finish this list and continue to make the golf course better each day. The future forecast doesn’t look great as we continue to stay in this cold spell another 7 to 10 days and hopefully after that we will have some sunshine as warmer weather is coming in. The goal is to continue to work on the golf course and continue to improve daily. I have had numerous individuals approach me and ask questions or let me know if they see something. I really appreciate that and please if you see something let me know.

The Golf Operations team continues to grow as this week we’ve hired three (3) new outside staff employees and a new individual for the Golf Shop. We will continue to grow in all areas as we will have starters and player assistants on a daily basis, and we will have better control of where people drive their carts as well as make sure they are filling their divots and fixing their ball marks on greens.

I know I’ve received some questions about the golf cars and when they will be repaired as we are still waiting on the Insurance Company to give us an answer and hopefully next week, we will get more rentals to help us out and we don’t have to turn play away. Hopefully, we can get some warmer weather and we can get more golfers to come out as well…

Please sign up for the following events:

  • January 25th – Mixed Couples – 8:30 Shotgun

Also, I want to thank everyone for stopping by the Golf Shop to check in the days you play. We still have a few that don’t check in and would appreciate if you could, moving forward this helps us show documented member rounds as it helps the staff get to learn your names.

F&B has had a slow start to the year, and we are hoping that it will pick up next week as we will be rolling out the new menu on Sunday for breakfast. I apologize for the delay as we need to do some work and check out other golf courses and properties as we have raised the price on a few items on the new menu as cost of items continue to go up on us. For example, a case of Romaine lettuce is $150.00, and case of eggs cost us $98.18 which is 180 eggs, and our cost is .55 cents per egg, French fries have gone to $68.00, and they were $33.00 per case. Also, we just had a 4.75% increase on all Pepsi products as well. The cost of all beer, liquor and wine have gone up as well. With this said unfortunately we had to raise some prices on some items. We haven’t had any rate increase in F&B in over a year and we hope everyone understands and continues to support us.

We are excited that tonight we have live entertainment back in the restaurant and look forward to seeing everyone and watching everyone have a fun evening and look forward to the next few weeks please call and make reservations as it fills up fast.
