Jason’s Weekly De-Scramble 5.30.25

Good afternoon,

We’re pleased to share another productive week here at Arlington Ridge Golf Club, where our focus remains firmly on continuous improvement and delivering the best possible golf and club experience for you.

Course Maintenance & Improvements

Our grounds team continues to work diligently on enhancing playability and aesthetics across the course. Key progress this week includes:

  • Boom spraying has started to address weed pressure throughout the course.
  • Spot treatments continue in fairways and tee areas to target specific problem spots.
  • We’ve fertilized around the green collars to stimulate better turf growth in those areas, which we’re closely monitoring for improvement.

Looking ahead, we plan to:

  • Fertilize the course twice next week to further encourage strong, healthy turf growth.
  • Continue boom spraying to stay ahead of weed challenges.
  • Advance projects including:
    • Bunker and cart path edging
    • Trimming low branches to improve visibility and access around cart paths

We also sharpened the reels on the greens mower this week, which should enhance the speed and consistency of the putting surfaces—something many of you have requested.

With the recent rain and rising temperatures, you may notice the irrigation running periodically during the day. This “syringing” helps keep greens hydrated and healthy during the heat.

Club Events & Updates
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Street Challenge—it was a great success! Special thanks to Glenn Daigle, Mark, and Claire Murphy for organizing such a fun event.

We’re also happy so many of you enjoyed last weekend’s Golf Shop sale—don’t hesitate to stop by again and check out what’s new.
