Captains Welcome 2024
We, Elizabeth and John, are honoured to be your Captains for 2024 and we appreciate the trust you, the Members, have shown in us. We are overwhelmed by the amount of good wishes we both have received and we look forward to your continued support throughout the coming year. We will do our utmost to represent you and Arklow Golf Club to the highest standard throughout our Captaincy.
2024 promises to be an exciting year for Arklow Golf Club. A Golf Club cannot run without the help of the numerous volunteers who work behind the scenes to ensure that we enjoy our golf. We wish to acknowledge their work and thank them sincerely for their time and commitment, not forgetting their families who allow them to do so.
The vital role played by all the Club’s staff in delivering the Arklow Golf Club experience cannot be overlooked and we thank them most sincerely in advance for the varied requests we will make of them during 2024.
We wish all members of this great Club an enjoyable and fulfilling year and while doing so, we would ask that you give a thought to our Junior Section, to help, support & encourage them as they embark on their journey into Golf. This is no small ask but please remember they are the future of our Club and therefore must be nurtured in the best way possible.
To the Management Committee and all the members of the various other committees and sub-committees, we would like to wish them well in their up-coming tasks in 2024. We look forward to working with you as we all strive to make Arklow an enjoyable experience for both members and visitors alike.
Our Socials are an important part of the Club and we would ask every member to commit to attending at least one social event during the year.
Our commitment as your Captains for 2024 is to continue a vision of making Arklow Golf Club a community based and friendly Club with an emphasis on ‘friendly’ and to fostering an atmosphere steeped in heritage and a golf ethos to rival any club.
We are both going on a journey and we wish that you our fellow members will join us on the fairways as we support the Inter Club Teams and socially at our various functions
