About the course at Pecan Grove Plantation
Pecan Grove Plantation features a beautiful 27-hole championship golf course designed by Carlton Gipson. The traditional layout lined with magnificent pecan and oak trees provide three distinct golfing experiences. From novices to the more experienced, Pecan Grove Plantation gives members the opportunity to play a truly challenging yet fair course day after day. Members also have access to a full practice facility and putting green, and our staff of golf professionals directs private lessons, clinics, and tournaments year around. Pecan Grove Plantation test players’ skills in surroundings of unparalleled beauty.

You may make Tee Times one week in advance beginning at 7 am by calling the Pro Shop at (281) 342-9940 ext. 8115
Holidays
Holiday Tee Times may be made two days in advance beginning at 7:30 am. For all weekend and Holiday Tee Times, please call the Pro Shop at (281) 342-9940 ext. 8115.
*Holidays will include: New Years Day, Memorial Day, July Fourth, Labor Day and Thanksgiving.

Pecan Grove Plantation Country Club has four active Golf Associations; including A Junior Golf Association, as well as a 9 or 18 Hole Couples Group and Future Legends Junior program. - Graduated from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan in 1987 with a “Professional Golf Management” Degree and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing.
- Head PGA Golf Professional at Northgate Country Club in Spring Texas for 16 years between 1987 and 2001.
- Head PGA Golf Professional at Falcon Point Country Club in Katy Texas for 8 years between 2001 and 2008.
- General Manager and PGA Professional at Southwyck Golf Club in Pearland Texas for 7 years between 2008 and 2015.
- In 2001 won the Club Corp National Champion Tournament in Pinehurst N.C.
- In 2002 was selected as one of “America’s Top Golf Instructors”
- In 2004 was the winner of the “Harvey Penick Teacher of the Year Award” for the Eastern Chapter of the Southern Texas PGA.
- In 2009 became a Lifetime PGA Member (20 years of service in the PGA).
- In 2014 became a “Quarter Century” Member of the PGA, 25 years of Service.
- Was a Golf Instruction Contributing Writer for “Golf Houston” Magazine.
- Taught over 35,000 players. Including scholarship players to: SMU, Tulane, Texas A&M, San Diego State, Sam Houston State, McLennan College, Bellhaven University, and New Mexico State.
- Spent 3 Days with Tiger Wood’s swing coach Hank Haney, in a seminar called “Teaching the Teacher” in McKinney Texas.
- Certified Twice for a “Golf Psychology Instructor” in Boerne Texas. This program assists players on the mental game of golf.
- Currently a member of the Callaway Golf Staff.
- In 2016 became a “U.S. Kids Certified Instructor”
- 2018 – 2019 U.S. Kids Golf Top 50 National Teacher of the Year – Honorable Mention
- 2019 – 2020 U.S. Kids Golf Top 50 National Teacher of the Year – Honorable Mention
