Evanston, Aug. 9, 2017 – Canal Shores Golf Course has received a generous donation from The Garden Club of Evanston for the development of its Ecological Master Plan. The $6,000 donation helps ensure that the Evanston Wilmette Golf Course Association, which oversees the course, can develop a robust plan that will serve the course and the community into the future with a focus on protecting and preserving the natural environment and its ecosystem. Evanston, July 20, 2017 – The Evanston Wilmette Golf Course Association is pleased to announce that it has accepted a generous donation of $4,000 from The Izaak Walton League of America to support its efforts to develop and implement an Ecological Master Plan for Canal Shores Golf Course that will serve the course, and the community, into the future. The donation was made in a special presentation ceremony held at Canal Shores on July 18. Presenting the check to Association President Chris Carey was John Sundquist, president of the Frank Anetsberger Chapter of the League.
