This position is responsible for managing the start of play as well as the pace of play on for golfers playing the Championship golf course. Position duties include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>COMPENSATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>$14 to $15 per hour<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DUTIES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist with setup and teardown of the league and\/or tournaments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with pulling carts and putting away carts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintains inventory levels of guest supplies on the 1st &amp; 10th tee boxes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate weather delays with Golf Shop and assists patrons.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Maintain inventory levels of guest supplies on Ambassador Cart \u2013 tees, pencils, scorecards, and first aid kit.<br><br><br>As Starter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check-in and record all players at the first tee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Perform starter\u2019s orientation to all groups.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Inform and emphasize the pace of play and other playing expectations for the course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Communicate effectively with the Golf Shop and Player Ambassador to manage play.<br><br>As Player Ambassador<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Accurately records tee-off times, turn times, and finish times.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Promotes any \u201con course\u201d activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Manage all on-course play.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Communicate effectively with Golf Shop to maintain accurate records concerning all groups\u2019 pace of play.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Check course water coolers daily and communicate with Player Services Attendants.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Fill divots with sand and fix ball marks on greens as time permits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Greet on-course customers and provide assistance where needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Inform groups of their pace and enforce pace of play rules in a friendly manner.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Assist in pulling out and putting away carts as time permits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ability to work nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays if needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Self-motivated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Great people skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE \/ BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must be at least 16 years of age and have a valid driver&#8217;s license.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previous experience in a golf-related service position is preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Work performed is physical in nature and requires sufficient stamina and strength to:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Occasionally squat and kneel to perform golf instruction and assist in course maintenance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Frequent step-up\/down and to safely operate and enter and exit golf carts and vehicles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Occasional lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds from the floor to overhead to empty buckets of range balls into machine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to operate a variety of equipment, including pickup trucks, golf cars, and other golf operations-related equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BENEFITS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Discounts on apparel and golf equipment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Discounts on employee meals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Playing and practice privileges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>POSITION OVERVIEW<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Commonground Golf Course is looking for a few more members to add to the grounds crew for the 2022 season. We are looking for full time seasonal employees who work roughly 40 hours a week and part time employees to work the morning shifts, typically around 20-25 hours a week. This position works Monday-Friday and every other weekend. No prior golf course maintenance experience required.
