Hole #1 is an uphill, slight dogleg left, Par 4. With a large mature cottonwood protecting the left side of the fairway you must favor the right side off the tee. Your approach shot is to an elevated green that slopes back to front. Its false front makes it important to carry the ball all the way to the hole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hole #2 will take a well-placed tee shot to about 140 yards to miss the bunkers that protect both sides of the fairway — unless you want to take your chances with a driver and try to place a shot into the bottleneck of the fairway (no wider than 30 yards). Your approach shot is to a green that slopes back-to-front and is one of smallest and toughest greens to read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hole #5 is a medium dogleg left, Par 4. The correct tee shot is 210 yards to the left side of the fairway which will leave you about 130-yard approach shot. A tee shot to the right of center will leave your approach shot blocked by a large group of trees. The green is protected by one of our deepest bunkers. The biggest defense of this hole is the lack of green depth — making your distance control very important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hole #6 is the toughest hole on the course. It\u2019s a severe dogleg right with a lake off the right side of the dogleg. A well-placed tee shot will be at the corner of the dogleg that leaving you about a 160-yard approach shot. Long hitters who try to cut the dogleg have little success with the strategically designed cut outs of the lake. The green is flanked by two bunkers that will test your short game skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hole #8 is a one of the longer Par 3\u2019s on the course. Most players must hit a lower lofted club to a small green. It is best to stay right — a shot to the left of the green must carry the bunker and will fall away making for a difficult up and down. Three is a great score on this hole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hole #9 is a great hole to finish out the nine. You have a blind tee shot that narrows down to about 110 yards left to the hole. Any shots that miss the fairway will be blocked by mature trees. The green is elevated and any shots that don\u2019t carry to the pin will roll off the front and down 20 yards making par a very hard number to achieve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hole #14 is the last Par 5 and your last chance to gain some ground on the course. Take aim at a bunker on the left — about 260 yards from the tee. Long hitters will try for this green in two but with a deep bunker covering the front of the green it\u2019s better to lay up. The green is elevated but large and fairly flat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hole #15 is long Par 4 stretching almost to 450 yards. With a tee box that shares with the black tees of Hole 7 you have a shot that must carry the water to a fairway that bottlenecks at about 140 yards. With a big cottonwood covering the right side of the rough your tee shot is forced to hug the left side. Your approach shot is to a three-tiered, sharply-sloping green that can be very difficult to putt. A Par here will help you gain strokes on the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hole #16 is the signature hole at Fox Hill. Your tee shot must carry at least 150 yards over the lake off the tee. The fairway runs downhill towards a pond so a driver is not a good option for longer hitters. A well placed 230-yard shot will run out to about 150-yard approach shot. Be sure not to be long! The green is long, narrow and two-tiered. Back pins on this green make it hard to get down in two putts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, a deep bunker guards the front; long shots will find the water behind the green: and a mature cottonwood will knock down shots to the right. With the only bailout on the left, it makes for tough shot down the stretch as you are finishing your round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hole #18 is Par 4 is a blind dogleg left. Long hitters must be able to move the ball from right to left to hit the speed slot and get to about 100 yards in. Most players will play to the top of the hill to give them a downhill shot to a receptive green. However, the green is elevated so a missed green will give you a tough up and down. This is a great finishing hole where Par is a great score.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
